Ramón Morales Higuera (born October 10 , 1975 in La Piedad , Michoacán ) is a retired Mexican football player who mainly played in midfield .

Life

Morales played for CF Monterrey between 1995 and 1998 and moved to league rivals Deportivo Guadalajara in early 1999 , where he was under contract for more than ten years and with whom he won the 2006 Mexican championship in Torneo Apertura . In the 2010/11 season he played for the Estudiantes Tecos .

Morales made his debut in the Mexican national football team on July 12, 2001 in the game against Brazil . He was in the squad of the national team for the following World Cup in 2002 and played four games there without being able to score. He was also a member of the Copa América 2004 squad and the Mexican squad for the 2005 Confederations Cup . He is feared for long-range and long-range shots by the goalkeepers, but also for his free kicks.

Morales was called to the national team squad for the 2006 World Cup and played 2 games in Germany, but did not score a goal. He has played a total of 57 international matches so far, in which he scored six goals.
