Rambler ( Russian Рамблер , but actually an Anglicism in Russian, derived from the English word rambler / Wanderer) is a search engine from Russia that has existed since 1996 . In the following years, more and more features (directory, webmail, messages, forums, etc.) were added to the search.
In 2000, Rambler passed the one billion search mark. For a long time, Rambler has been one of the market leaders in web search within the Russian-speaking area. Rambler searches for Russian, Ukrainian and English terms. The Rambler search engine belongs to the Rambler Media Group holding, which until 2006 also included the Rambler TV channel .
