Rame (unit)

Rame was a French paper measure and also a measure for felt . It has the Latin root such as Ries as risma, Arabic: rizma for ball , bundle and means "hands".

Paper count

1 rame = 20 mains = 480 sheets of printing paper
1 rame = 20 mains = 500 sheets of writing paper

For wallpaper , one rame = 20 rolls

Felt measure

1 rame = 2 shots
1 pile = 10 books = 260 sheets

The felt was placed between two sheets in order to be placed under a press after a certain number in the pile.
