Rapid Bucharest played in the Romanian ice hockey league for a long time and won the Romanian championship title for the first and only time in 1940 . The team last appeared in the 2000/01 season in the Romanian ice hockey league before the Rapid Bucharest ice hockey department stopped playing in 2002.
