Rapid Reinforcement Concept

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rapid Reinforcement Concept (RRC) ( English concept for rapid reinforcements ) was part of the NATO strategy Flexible Response and its part Limited Aggression (English limited aggression ). The concept included a rapid deployment of armed forces from the USA and Canada to Europe .

The overseas reinforcements should either help manage a crisis by maintaining deterrence or be incorporated into forward defense when warfare begins . The planning was practically implemented in the REFORGER exercises and by setting up German WHNS offices .
