The town hall in Beuthen was on the west side of the ring until 1945 .

history

Bytom's first town hall was built between the end of the 13th century and the beginning of the 14th century. The town hall building was rebuilt between 1818 and 1826. In 1848 it was given a neo-Gothic tower. In 1877 the town hall was demolished.

In its place, a historic town hall building in the neo-renaissance style was built from 1879 to 1880 . On the south side, the town hall had a round clock tower with a height of 60 meters.

In the spring of 1945 the town hall was set on fire by Soviet soldiers , then completely demolished, the building site was no longer built on and converted into a public square.
