history

The first known Ascher town hall fell victim to the fire of 1696. A simple building was erected as a makeshift solution. In 1733 a new town hall was built according to plans by the Eger master builder Pfefferle.

After the city fire of 1814, a new town hall had to be built again. This was similar to the previous building. In 1885 it was enlarged by adding a second floor. The shape of the roof and the tower were also changed.
