Remarks

The waltz was premiered on the occasion of the first concert in the New Town Hall of Vienna under the direction of Eduard Strauss . The town hall itself had already been opened in 1883, but the concert hall only followed now. A lot of celebrities from all over the Danube Monarchy came to celebrate this occasion. In addition to the Strauss band, several other civil and military bands played. The response to this Strauss waltz was limited. This work has not become really popular.

The playing time on the CD listed under individual records is 8 minutes and 36 seconds. Depending on the musical conception of the conductor, this time can change by up to a minute plus or minus.
