Town hall correspondence
The Rathauskorrespondenz , "rk" for short, is the municipal news agency of the City of Vienna . After the Austria Press Agency, it is the second largest news agency in Austria . It is published by the Press and Information Service of the City of Vienna (PID, Municipal Department 53).
A full-text search in the correspondence of the City Hall has been set up on the City of Vienna website since 1995. For the years 1945 to 1968, monthly summaries of the major events were made.
history
The first predecessor, the "Correspondenz Gall", was founded in 1861 by Josef Gall . The current name has been used since 1900. Since May 19, 1945 the city hall correspondence has been published by the City of Vienna itself. The long-time editor-in-chief at the time was Wilhelm Adametz (1913--1989), followed by Robert Prosel (1924--2005) and Alois Brunnthaler (1924--2005).
