A predator house is a building erected in zoological gardens , in which predators can be kept as species-appropriate and safe as possible. At the same time, predator houses are designed in such a way that visitors to the facilities are given the best possible opportunity to visit. Predatory houses offer the possibility of breeding , observation and research .

The predator house, which opened in Tierpark Berlin in 1963 , was the largest in the world at the time.
