The Rauriser Hochalmbahnen are a ski area in the Rauris Valley in Unterpinzgau in the State of Salzburg . The valley station of the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen is approx. 950  m above sea level. A. near the entrance to Rauris -Süd, from there the area extends up to 2175  m above sea level. A.

Gondola lifts

  • Waldalmbahn: 10-seater cable car, 2034 m length (new from winter 2016/17)

  • Jackalm lifts: double drag lift, 1450 m length
  • Grat lift: T-bar lift, 1000 m length
  • Kreuzboden lift: T-bar lift, 400 m length
  • Schwazerlifte: practice lifts, 320 m long

Slopes offer

There are 32.5 kilometers of slopes, which are divided into easy (15 km), medium (12.5 km) and difficult (5 km) runs.

In summer, the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen area offers hiking opportunities, bird of prey shows at the bird of prey station (mountain station) and a gold panning area at the middle station. The 6-person gondola lift Hochalmbahn is in operation in the summer months.

history

The Rauriser Skilift GmbH was founded on December 11, 1963, and the "Rainberglift" went into operation at Christmas 1963. The Rauriser Bergbahn AG was founded on May 11, 1970. The Kreuzboden chairlift with an attached drag lift is being built. Building on Rainberg GmbH, Hochalmbahnen GmbH & Co. KG was founded on July 27, 1972. After a five-month construction period, the “Jackalmlift” double chair lift went into operation on December 25, 1972. The Gratlifte was built in 1973. The valley station of the Hochalmbahn was expanded in the 1975/76 season, a connecting path between Kreuzboden and Heimalm is being built. The Kreuzboden T-bar lift was modernized in 1978, the Wetterkreuz curve lift was built. The Rauriser Bergbahn AG merged in 1978 with the Hochalmbahnen GmbH & Co. KG to form the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen AG. The Waldalm T-bar lift was built in the 1981/82 season, a connecting path is being created from the Waldalm to the Heimalm. A nature trail and a children's playground at the Heimalm were built for summer operation in the 1983/84 season. For the Kreuzboden valley run and the Schwazer practice lift, an add-on snow-making system was purchased in 1986. Seven snow cannons were already in use in the 1988/99 season. In June 1993, work began on the modern 6-seater Hochalm gondola lift with two sections, which will replace the Hochalm chairlift. The summit lift was realized in the 2002/03 season. Ing.Siegfried Rasser becomes CEO in 2009, replacing Erich Hutter, who is retiring after more than 20 years of management. An FIS Telemark World Cup race will be held for the first time on Kreuzboden in 2010. On April 3, 2016, the Waldalm drag lift will be in operation for the last time. The drag lift will be replaced by a modern 10-person gondola lift, which will go into operation in December 2016.
