Real-time executive

Real-Time Executive (RTE) is a real-time operating system . It ran in the 1970s and 1980s on the computers of the type HP1000 the manufacturer Hewlett-Packard .

The modernized version RTE-A was still used in the 1990s for laboratory data systems and for control computers, especially in the printing industry. HP1000 products and thus also RTE-A were withdrawn from the market by Hewlett-Packard on November 1, 2000; support ended in 2005.
