Realejo-San Matías (also el Realejo ) is a neighborhood belonging to the old town in the Andalusian city of Granada ; At the time of the Moorish rule in Granada it is said to have been the quarter assigned to the Jewish residents, Garnata al-Yahud , the "Granada of the Jews". After the Reyes Catolicos took over the city, the area was renamed Realejo ; the king's military camp was located here. In certain sections it is currently a popular nightlife district with numerous tapas bars.

There are also various bars and restaurants along the square, as well as the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura.
