The Realschule Am Stadtpark (RAS) is a secondary school in the Wiesdorf district of Leverkusen with around 1100 students. Part of the school building complex is a listed building .
history
The current Realschule was founded in 1913 as a nine-tier middle school with equal shares , with two teachers and one teacher teaching 91 students in the first year. In 1924 a newly built school building was moved into. After the Second World War , the school was quartered in the neighboring school complex “Am Neuenhof” until 1956 because the actual school building was needed as a replacement for the destroyed St. Josef Hospital. In 1965 the school complex was extended by additions and in 1992 by the building of the former Carl-Duisberg-Gymnasium , which has been a listed building since 1987.
