Realtime Associates is an American developer and publisher of video games .
history
The company was founded in 1986 by David Warhol and a group of former Mattel Electronics employees to develop games for the Intellivision system. An important line of business is the porting of existing games to alternative systems on behalf of the respective rights holder. In April 1994 Steve Ettinger founded Griptonite Games in Redmond as a subsidiary of Realtime Associates under the name Realtime Associates Seattle Division. Ettinger did commissioned work for Realtime Associates before Warhol asked him to set up a subsidiary in Seattle.
