Rebecca Malope

Rebecca Malope (* 1965 in Lekazi , South Africa ) is a South African gospel singer.

Life

Malope started her music career at the age of 21. Together with her sister Cynthia, she left the township of Lekazi near Nelspruit (now Mbombela) and went to Johannesburg . In 1987 she made her debut. Since then she has released more than 30 albums. In South Africa she moderates the television program "It's Gospel Time".

  • 2003: KORA All Africa Music Award in the category Best Gospel Singer
