Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Deedlit (1998) is a Japanese manga especially for female adolescents ( Shōjo ), which belongs to the fantasy saga Record of Lodoss War devised by Ryō Mizuno . Mizuno himself designed the story, it was drawn by Setsuko Yoneyama . They are named after the high elf Deedlit , one of the main characters in the entire saga.

The story can be classified chronologically according to The Chronicles of Flaim or Chronicles of the Heroic Knight : After the battle for Marmo, Deedo and Parn retreat to the village of Zaxon to finally treat themselves to some peace and cultivate their burgeoning relationship. But conflicts with greedy tax collectors and an old friend from the Elven Forest put them to a hard test.

Deedlit is a typical shōjo who is less dedicated to the epic breadth of the Record of Lodoss War saga and more to the emotional lives of the main characters. There is a lot of romance and hardly any fighting, which means that the story develops a lot more calmly than in the other cycles.

The two volumes were published in Japan in 1998 and in Germany in 2002 (by Carlsen- Verlag).
