biography

In 1988 Red Gee was one of the co-founders of Posse 8513. At the beginning of the 90s he accompanied the rap formation The Notorious Notators (TNN), which originally consisted of Kalmoo, JS One, BBA, Roofless Roos & DJ Philister, together with B-Boy Rey . TNN emerged from TSB Posse (The Slum Brothers), which was originally only known to the insider scene. Red joined them and had a decisive influence on the further development. In the artists' association Be4Real , was also active for the Red Gee, he promoted Basler young artists in various hip-hop - workshops . As a source of ideas, Red Gee laid the foundation for the Gleis X hip-hop theater project . Together with the Juice Crew organized Gee mid 90s parties in Basel, which aims to merger of Basler Hip Hop - and R'n'B - scenes was. In 1996 Red Gee changed art form and started MCing. At the Basel Theater he shared the stage and microphone with Tarek and Black Tiger (piece "Vinny"). After that, Red Gee appeared frequently on records from other rappers and producers in Switzerland. Since 2010 he has been working as DJ Giddla in clubs and at festivals. He plays classic rap, neosoul, funk and afrobeats.
