The reference value stands for
- a framework condition that is prescribed or agreed for an investigation and must be kept constant, see reference condition
- Measured values in laboratory medicine that correspond to those of 95% of the normal healthy population, see reference range (medicine)
- a fixed value that is used for comparisons, see reference value
