Refinitiv is a US service company that processes economic data and sells it to banks, investment companies and other organizations. Refinitiv claims to have over 40,000 institutions among its customers.

The company was created in 2018 through the takeover of the "Financial & Risk" division of the Thomson Reuters group by the investment company Blackstone . Blackstone took over a majority stake of 55% in the course of the transaction, while Thomson Reuters remained invested with 45% of the shares. For the delivery of news from the Reuters news agency, which remained with the Thomson Reuters group, to the joint venture Refinitiv, annual payments of at least 325 million US dollars were agreed from Refinitiv to Reuters for the next 30 years. In August 2019, Blackstone sold its stake on the London Stock Exchange .
