Reflections of My Life is a song by the Scottish pop group The Marmalade . The hit single was released in the fall of 1969 and was in the charts worldwide . The song reached 3rd place on the British single charts , 10th on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was 20th on the charts in Germany. By November 1971 the title had sold 1 million copies, to date Reflections of My Life has achieved sales of more than 2 million copies.

The title can be heard again and again today and is often used representative of the time. For example, it was used as background music for the episode about the Apollo 13 mission from the Space Cowboys series of Space Night .

The title also appeared in various soundtracks in film and television as well as political campaigns such as a British government TV commercial for the Good Friday Agreement . In addition, parts of Lyric in the book Flying Through Midnight , the memoirs of the Vietnam War - Veterans John T. Halliday used.

Cover versions

The song has been covered several times, including by Kevin Rowland (1999) and Freddy Fender (2003). A German version of The Buffoons appeared in 1970 under the title Wie ein Himmel voll Sterne , and in 1971 a French version by the singer Marie entitled Je suis seule was published .
