The Reformed Church in Buchs SG was built in 1931/32 as a replacement for a smaller church at the same location , which was demolished on March 16, 1931 by blasting. The 82 meter high tower is considered to be the first church tower in Switzerland made entirely of concrete. The Reformed Church in Buchs SG is the sixth highest church in Switzerland. It was inaugurated on February 28, 1932 and has seating for 650 people.
