History and equipment
The building with a gable roof and a ridge turret with a bell in the bell chamber belongs to the Reformed parish of Visp , which also includes the Matter and Saas valleys , and thus to the Evangelical Reformed church of the Valais .
The originally built by the British Colonial & Continental Church Society and therefore Anglican church, in which the first service was celebrated on July 13, 1890, was established in the early 1970s on the condition that the church as a sacred building and worship place with permanent hospitality for the English is preserved, transferred to the Reformed Church and consecrated on June 20, 1976. The Bern regional church and its aid associations, both the Bern aid association and that of the Bernese Oberland, provided financial support. The main initiator of the preservation of the church was the reformed pastor HJ Bäschlin , who privately acquired the church in 1975 for this purpose as a temporary arrangement.
