Rainbow stone
Under the name Rainbow Stone (also: Rainbow Calsilica, Aztec stone), a synthetic mineral mixture is offered in stores, which imitates a colorfully banded gemstone .
It mainly consists of calcite and synthetic resin , which is colored by adding hematite , celestine and blue and yellow artificial color pigments.
Photos of alleged mining sites were also circulated to market the mineral forgery.
