Rain pants

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A rain trousers is a pant made from a windproof and water-repellent or waterproof material, usually with a rain jacket kombiniert- and is supported mostly on an everyday trousers. To make it easier to put on, many models have a zipper along the pant legs.

Rain trousers are a useful addition to a rain jacket, especially when cycling or motorcycling , as the legs are particularly affected by the water that runs off the jacket because of the sitting posture.

Many rain pants also have a bib, like the dungarees , which are stretched over the shoulders and should prevent the rain pants from slipping.

In addition, there are often loops at the end of both rain pants legs that you pull over the shoe sole and should prevent water from getting under the rain pants on your everyday pants.

For children, they are also known as mud, digging or mud pants.
