Rain retention channel

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A rainwater retention channel is an elongated underground rainwater retention system . Mostly it is created as a transport channel with an enlarged nominal diameter. It can make sense to subdivide the sewer into storage cascades in order to make better use of the storage space or to be able to better adapt the flood level to the terrain.

A sedimentation of waste water constituents must be prevented by a sufficient flow velocity. If this is not possible, stationary or mobile cleaning facilities must be provided.
