Government anniversary medal from 1902 (Baden)

The government jubilee medal was donated on April 25, 1902 by Grand Duke Friedrich I of Baden on the occasion of his 50th anniversary in government and could be awarded to all those who have rendered outstanding services to the Princely House and the country during this period.

The round medal made of bronze shows the portrait of the donor facing left with the dates 1852 - 1902 on the right . On the back is a crowned griffin with the Baden coat of arms . Underneath the four-line inscription REGIERUNGS-JUBILÆUM SKH of the GRAND DUKE FRIEDRICH VON BADEN . The design comes from the medalist Rudolf Mayer (1846–1916).

The award was worn on a yellow and red striped ribbon on the left chest.

In addition to the bronze medal, 44 gold specimens were made, 43 of which were awarded to other princes.
