Regina Feldmann

Regina Feldmann (born April 14, 1953 ) is a German specialist in general medicine. From 2012 to 2016 she was on the board of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV).

Life

After the study of human medicine , she received the 1982 Board certification for general medicine . She then worked in a group practice at the polyclinic in Meiningen , southern Thuringia . In 1991 she set up as a family doctor in her own doctor's practice in Meiningen. In 2001 she was elected to the board of the Thuringian Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, and from 2005 to 2012 she was the first chairwoman of the board. She paid particular attention to attracting young doctors in rural areas. On May 21, 2012, Feldmann was elected a board member of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV).

Feldmann's main focus in the KBV is the primary care sector. There she is responsible for the development of a new model for family doctor remuneration (reform of the so-called family doctor EBM). She is also responsible for medical training and further education. Here Feldmann advocates closer links between the university and the outpatient sector. She advocates the thesis that medical students should come into closer contact with the work of general practitioners at university in order to make it easier for them to decide whether to settle down. Feldmann advocates the establishment of a foundation with which the specialist training in the field of general practitioners is financially supported.

Regina Feldmann is married and has a daughter who also works as a general practitioner.
