Regional Science Association International

The Regional Science Association International (RSAI) until the end of 1989 Regional Science Association (RSA), is the worldwide umbrella organization of Regional Science . It was founded in 1954 on the initiative of the American economist Walter Isard . The European Regional Science Association (ERSA), the Regional Science Association of the Americas (RSAmericas) and the Pacific Regional Science Conference Organization (PRSCO) are subordinate to it.

The society publishes the journal Papers in Regional Science and has organized a world congress since 1980, which has been held every two years since 2012 (previously every four years). It also awards several awards, the most important of which is the Founder's Medal . According to its own information, the RSAI has over 4000 members.
