Žagarė Regional Park

The Regional Park Žagarė is a 1992 erected a regional park in the joniškis district municipality , Lithuania , on the border with Latvia . The administration is located in Žagarė . The territory is 4930 ha, 59% of which are forests. The park protects the Švėtė landscape and the Žagarė forest .

There is a stud farm , the Žvelgaitis hill fort and the Raktuvė hill fort , mentioned in a document in 1298 in the Livonian chronicles.
