The tire size describes the mechanical dimensions with the following sizes: tire width, percentage ratio of flank height and tread width, as well as the diameter of the matching rim. Dimensions are given in inches (1 inch = 2.54 cm). In addition, the type, the load index and the maximum permissible speed are usually specified.

DOT number: week and year

The 4-digit DOT number indicates the date of manufacture of a tire. The last two digits mean the year, the first two the calendar week.
