Reinaldo Paseiro Rodríguez (born February 1, 1925 in Havana ; † June 11, 1973 there ) was a Cuban cyclist.

He competed in the time trial and sprint events at the 1948 Summer Olympics . In the mid-1950s he retired from active sports and took on the role of coach and director in the Cuban sports movement. In 1961 he founded a bicycle academy. He was named the national commissioner for the sport and promoted cycling in the early days of revolutionary sport in Cuba.

Palmarès

  • At the age of 21 he won the time trial in Colombia in 1946 at the Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe with a time of 1: 11.6 minutes.
  • In 1948 he drove for Cuba at the Summer Olympics.
  • In 1950 he drove at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Guatemala, where he won with a time of 1: 14.8 minutes, followed by Oscar Layne and Compton Gonsalves. He won a silver medal in the 4,000-meter team pursuit, along with Oscar Hevia, Leopoldo Posada and Leonardo Rodríguez.

The Velódromo Nacional Reinaldo Paseiro is named after him.
