Rekkared II
Rekkared II († March 621 ) was King of the Visigoths in February / March 621.
Rekkared was the son and successor of King Sisebut, who died in February 621 . He was still a child when he took office and died a few days later in March 621. The Visigoth king list gives him a reign of one year, two months and ten days; This can probably be explained by the fact that he was determined to be the fictitious “co-ruler” during his father's lifetime (late 619 or early 620), with which Sisebut wanted to secure the succession to the throne for him. With Rekkared's death, Sisebut's attempt to found a dynasty failed.
