Rehren is a village in the Schaumburg district in Lower Saxony with around 1200 inhabitants and the seat of the Auetal municipal administration .
history
The place used to be called Rehren, district court district Obernkirchen, so it belonged to the district of Obernkirchen . This was used to distinguish Rehren, district court district Rodenberg in the office Rodenberg . On March 1, 1974, the municipalities of Borstel , Kathrinhagen , Poggenhagen , Rannenberg , Rehren, District Court District Obernkirchen (short: Rehren AO) and Westerwald were merged to form the new municipality of Rehren. However, this only lasted for a short time in this new design. On April 1, 1974, it was merged with Hattendorf , Rolfshagen and Schoholtensen to form the new municipality of Auetal.
Infrastructure
In Rehren there is a primary school as well as a kindergarten and some shopping opportunities in the nearby industrial park. Rehren is one of the larger towns in the Auetal. From 1947 to 1983 there was a gynecological and obstetrics clinic in town, the so-called Obersburg .
