Hattendorf is a district of the municipality of Auetal in the district of Schaumburg in Lower Saxony and, with around 550 inhabitants, one of the larger towns in the municipality.

Geography and history

The place is between Rehren and Antendorf. The Bückeburger Aue rises in Hattendorf . On March 1, 1974, the communities of Antendorf , Escher , Hattendorf and Raden were merged to form the new community of Hattendorf. However, this only lasted for a short time in this new design. On April 1, 1974, it was merged with Rehren , Rolfshagen and Schoholtensen to form the new municipality of Auetal.

Sights and clubs

The St. Eligius Church , built around 1300, and the Auetal Museum of Local History are located in Hattendorf .

The Hattendorf volunteer fire brigade has been providing fire protection and general help both in the village and in the Auetal since it was founded in 1930 . It has a TSF-W and a trolley logistics and a personnel carrier . There has been a shooting club with a clubhouse since 1965. Hattendorf can also be found on the map in terms of sport. The SV Hattendorf offers different areas for sporting activities. The 1st men's soccer team is in the Schaumburg district class.
