Rolfshagen is one of the 16 districts of the municipality Auetal in the district of Schaumburg in Lower Saxony .
geography
The place is two kilometers east of Bad Eilsen . The Bückeberge border to the north . To the east of the village is the Alte Tongrube Borstel nature reserve and the Bückeburger Aue flows to the south .
history
The place was first mentioned in a document between 1304 and 1323. On December 1, 1910, the place had 1,089 inhabitants and belonged to the Rinteln district . On March 1, 1974, the previously independent municipality of Bernsen with the village of Bernser Landwehr was incorporated into the municipality of Rolfshagen and on April 1, 1974 Rolfshagen was incorporated into the new municipality of Auetal.
