The old clay pit Borstel is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Auetal in the Schaumburg district .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG HA 067 is 5  hectares in size. It is located in the south of the Bückeberge below the Borsteler Hude between Borstel and the Rolfshagen settlement and protects a former clay pit . The nature reserve consists of a mosaic of differently structured habitats such as alder swamps , still waters , water-filled depressions and embankments exposed to the south.

The area has been a nature reserve since December 31, 1983. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Schaumburg.
