The Hofwiesenteiche are a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Bückeburg in the Schaumburg district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 201 is 36 hectares in size. It is located in the southwest of Bückeburg within the Weserbergland Schaumburg-Hameln nature park . It places an area with six fish ponds surrounded by reed beds under protection, which is followed by broken forests , fallow land and grassland areas .
The nature reserve is the location of endangered plant species and plant communities. As a resting, breeding and feeding habitat for water birds , it is also of supraregional importance.
The area has been a nature reserve since September 17, 2001. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Schaumburg.
