August Tünnermann

August Tünnermann (born August 18, 1896 in Rolfshagen , municipality of Auetal , † November 23, 1982 in Sehnde ) was a German politician ( KPD ). In 1946 he was Vice President of the appointed Hanover State Parliament.

Tünnermann was a mechanic by profession. From 1915 to 1918 he took part in the First World War. In 1920 he joined the KPD, for which he was community leader from 1924 to 1933. From 1925 to 1933 Tünnermann was a member of the district council. From 1931 to 1933 he was a member of the Hanover Provincial Parliament . He was a member of the Prussian state parliament from September 1, 1932, when he replaced the resigned MP John Schehr , until the end of the fourth legislative period in 1933. He was arrested in 1933 and imprisoned in Moringen and Oranienburg concentration camps until 1934 . He was also in Sachsenhausen concentration camp from 1939 to 1940 . From 1940 until the end of National Socialism he was under police supervision. From 1946 Tünnermann was secretary of the KPD and 1945 district administrator of the Burgdorf district . In 1946 he was a member of the appointed Hanover state parliament, of which he was also vice-president.
