Poggenhagen is one of the 16 districts of the municipality Auetal in the district of Schaumburg in Lower Saxony .

The place is one kilometer west of Rehren on the Bückeburger Aue .

history

Poggenhagen was first mentioned in a document in 1317 in a deed of foundation to Möllenbeck Abbey. On December 1, 1910, the place had 142 inhabitants and belonged to the Rinteln district . On March 1, 1974, Poggenhagen was incorporated into the municipality of Rehren and on April 1, 1974 the new municipality was dissolved and assigned to the new municipality of Auetal.
