Rekoicket is the Austrian name for the recommendation voucher (recommendation voucher ), which is affixed to the mail item by means of a so-called registered letter.

history

Such documents have been used in Austria since 1885 : initially on a trial basis from March 15, 1885 at the Viennese post offices, from October 1, 1885 in the same configuration at all post offices in the United States .

From July 29th, 2002 to October 11th, 2010 the Austrian Post marketed yellow receipts under the name “registered label”. This is used to pay the fee for the registration service. However, the charge for the transport is shown separately in the form of postage stamps, indicia or franking labels. The label is self-adhesive and is sold in forms with and without an attached dispatch note. Since October 12, 2010, only the new red advertising notes have been issued free of charge. The registered fee for these labels must be paid separately in the postage paid zone. A transition period until December 31, 2010 was planned for the use of the previous receipts for the major task in the letter centers. The receipts that had already been purchased could be used until March 31, 2011 when they were posted at a post office counter. Unused labels were then exchanged for postage stamps, and cash redemption (payment) was possible.

Letter identifiers

The registered labels currently have the following letter identifiers at the beginning:

RO - Reco-Opal (counter)
RR - Registered stamps, registered labels of the special post offices, country deliverers, self-labeling, valuables bags
RG - Prepaid dangerous goods consignments , payment paid
RU - Unpaid dangerous goods consignment , payment paid by the recipient
RF - Lost and found service of the Österreichische Post AG (chargeable for the recipient with € 12.00)

Since October 12, 2010:
RQ - receipts with posting slip, set of 50 in boxes
RH - receipts without posting slip, roll of 100

Since November 16, 2012:
RS - Rekozetteln with value imprint (paid fee) of the franking machines

The Austrian ending "AT" is the same for all variants.
