Relative pressure sensor
A relative pressure sensor is a pressure sensor that measures the change in relative pressure, i.e. the pressure compared to the atmosphere (atmospheric air pressure) as a reference point. Fluctuations in air pressure act as errors on the measurement result. The larger the range to be measured, the smaller the error. For pressure measurements in the range <60 bar , the pressure sensor is therefore designed to be open to the atmosphere. This happens e.g. B. by venting the connector / cable used on the pressure sensor.
