Release Me is a music album by British pop singer Engelbert Humperdinck , which was released by Decca in 1967 . It is the first album that Humperdinck (real name Arnold Dorsey ) has released under his stage name.
The title song of the album Release Me gave Engelbert his breakthrough in the music business in 1967 and became a global hit that even prevented the Beatles from reaching number 1 on the British charts with the title Penny Lane .
