Hirsch Rembordé method

Rembordieren is a process for the seamless connection of upper and lining leather in leather bracelets.

The process developed and patented by Hans Hirsch for the seamless connection of upper and lining leather in leather bracelets was included in the handbook of leather and pocket masters as the Hirsch Rembordé technique and is now the standard in the worldwide watch strap industry .

The Rembordier technology offers the advantages of closed side edges, an invisible leather transition and protection against the ingress of substances such as water , sweat, perfumes , sun oil or solvents .

In a special production process, the upper leather is placed around the edges of the lining leather and glued to it seamlessly and deep into the fibers under a defined combination of heat and pressure .

Hirsch Rembordé look Coupé Franc

Hirsch Rembordé look Coupé Franc is a special technology to produce bracelets in Rembordé quality with the appearance of a Coupé Franc (cut-edged processing).

Coupe Franc

Coupé Franc is a traditional method of making watch straps. When connecting the upper and lining leather, the edges are left open and sealed with varnish . With the help of the Rembordé look Coupé Franc technology, the bracelet is manufactured according to the Rembordé technology. The edges are then painted to create a “coupe franc”.
