Remo Besio

Remo Besio (born May 30, 1940 ; † March 14, 2016 ) was the director of the Swiss Science Center Technorama for many years .

Life

Remo Besio was director of the Technorama in Winterthur from 1990 to 2008 . He was responsible for transforming the former industrial museum into a science center based on the American model. Under his leadership, the number of visitors rose to around a quarter of a million a year. For this achievement Besio was awarded the City of Winterthur Culture Prize in 2001.
