René Nehring

René Nehring (* 1975 in Neustrelitz ) is a German journalist and editor-in-chief of the Preußische Allgemeine Zeitung since the end of 2019 . He was previously the editor-in-chief of Rotary Magazine for Rotarians .

Life and Publications

Nehring comes from a family with East Prussian roots. He studied history, politics and Russian at the Humboldt University and was also a scholarship holder in the Kaliningrad Oblast at the Baltic Federal Immanuel Kant University , which sees itself as the successor to the Königsberg Albertus University in Königsberg . About his experiences in East Prussia he wrote the book “Names that one calls again” (2000) and also published the volume “Natural paradise and unforgettable cultural landscape: Pictures from East Prussia”. As a journalist, he has written articles for the culture section of the daily newspaper Die Welt . From 2005 he worked for Rotary Magazine , of which he later became editor-in-chief.

In December 2019 he became editor-in-chief of the Preussische Allgemeine Zeitung, the former Ostpreußenblatt .
