Renata rice field
Renata Reisfeld (* 1930 in Poland ) is an Israeli chemist who does research in particular on solar technology.
Reisfeld was born in Poland and came to Israel in 1950, where she studied at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She later became a professor of chemistry there.
She is a pioneer (since 1978) in the development of luminescent solar concentrators and deals with photovoltaics , anti-reflective optical coatings, nanoparticles and the sol-gel process , rare earths , fiber optics and solid-state lasers. She has produced over 500 publications and several patents.
With the professor in Lyon Georges Boulon , she organized several Israeli-French conferences on solid-state lasers.
From 2007 to 2010 she was a senior scientist at GreenSun Energy.
She is an honorary doctor in Lyon, Bucharest and the Polish Academy of Sciences in Wroclaw. In 2010 she received the gold medal from the University of Wroclaw .
She is married and has two sons.
