Renate Steinitz
Renate Steinitz (born February 18, 1936 in Leningrad , USSR ; † October 9, 2019 in Berlin ) was a German linguist and author .
Life
Until her retirement, Steinitz worked as a linguist at the Academy of Sciences of the GDR , and later at the Center for General Linguistics of the Humanities Centers in Berlin, where she published on German grammar. She is co-editor of the posthumously published works of her father, the linguist and ethnologist Wolfgang Steinitz .
