Renaut corpuscles

Renaut corpuscles are 2 to 130 µm long, cigar-shaped pouches that lie directly below the perineurium of a nerve . They consist of collagen-free connective tissue and oxytalin fibrils. They are occasionally observed in normal nerves and are not pathologically relevant.
