The Rendsburg autumn is an annual folk festival that takes place in the eponymous city of Rendsburg . The festival has around 150,000 visitors every year.

history

Since 1975, the Rendsburg Autumn has mainly taken place on the last full August weekend from Thursday to Sunday, with the 1st Rendsburg Autumn taking place on September 5th and 6th, 1975. The opening took place on September 5th at 11:00 a.m. on the Old Town Market, where a tree saw competition was later held to determine a city master. On the Schiffbrückenplatz you could enjoy yourself in a 1000-man tent with tape music and also live music. The parade ground was equipped with carousels and many different stalls.

The name arose from the fact that one wanted to choose a name that did not yet exist. So it became the “Rendsburg Autumn”, even if it didn't quite match the season.
